Tsagaan Nuur (White Lake) in Yeruu, Selenge Province, Northern Mongolia Tsagaan Nuur, located in Yeruu soum of Selenge province in northern Mongolia, is a pristine freshwater lake surrounded by untouched nature and peaceful tranquility. The word “Tsagaan” means “white” in Mongolian, and the name Tsagaan Nuur translates to “White Lake.” This serene lake is encircled by tall mountains and lush pastures, offering a different scenic charm in every season. During summer, visitors can enjoy camping by the lakeshore, picnicking, fishing, hiking, and experiencing the traditional lifestyle and culture of local nomads. Additionally, the area around the lake is home to a variety of wild animals and migratory birds, making it an ideal spot for wildlife observation and nature photography. Access: Tsagaan Nuur is about 300 km from Ulaanbaatar and takes approximately 4–6 hours to reach by car.
